Lavanga

  Lavanga is an evergreen small plant that grows mainly in South Indian regions. The herb is commonly known as Cloves and have many therapeutic uses. Dr. Varun Ram Raj of Ayurvedatarian uses the herb Lavanga for the treatment diseases caused by the vitiation of Pitta Kapha doshas as the herb is Pitta Kapha samaka in it’s action. Lavanga is used to treat numerous diseases including Cough , Respiratory distress, Vomiting etc. Nowadays it is also used as an appetizer , carminative and aphrodisiac agent as it contains Phytoconstituents like gallotanic acid, eugenol etc.

Decoction (kwatha )- 60 ml

Tablet - 2 tablets twice daily or as per the advice of the Ayurveda doctor

Morphology :
